MK 123 are the first 3 games, MK Trilogy is a separate game based on the Mortal Kombat 3 engine that includes characters from MK 1 & 2 that weren't in MK3 as well as some new characters and other new features and gameplay elements. These are the PC ports, not the arcade. The PC ports of MK 1-3 were much better than the console parts but not as good as the arcade (lower resolution, smaller sprite size)
