Had this for half year and it stopped recording plus endless reboot during the summer.

Tons of negative reviews on this.

Dont waste your money on this junk

How hot do your summers get? I've had this model for almost 3 years now, no issues, but it rarely sees 100+ degree days.

I've been using Viofo dashcams since 2017 and never had any issues. Have 3 of them in my cars now (different versions of A119) and they've all been reliable. Footage was there when I needed. FWIW, I hardwire all my cameras and don't run them off the cig lighter. Highly recommend them but if you want front and rear camera, the A129 and A229 are also currently on sale on Amazon.

I use one in Phoenix without any issues regarding durability. However I would not buy one of these due to the glitchy app and difficulty in pairing the camera to download your videos. You need to pull the sd card and plug it in a computer or phone adapter if you want to get a clip off the camera. Not the best if you want to use the footage. Garmin does not cost much more so I have been planning on replacing this one.

I got an SD card reader and keep it in my car.

The A119 are known to have power on issue intermittently that is AFAIK was never fixed (or unfixable) due to some low voltage detection during starting engine procedure.
I've read that some had luck with running it off of the cigarette lighter but also some had to hardwire to solve the problem...

I hardwired mine and had this problem often enough that I routinely power cycle manually to make sure it powers on.
I believe the A119S and newer A129 don't have this issue.

They are better than your average dashcam brand. On r/dashcam this is the recommended budget choice and its a good buy at this price.

That said, one of my A119 v2 has stopped working after a couple of years while the other one is still running strong.

I had two of these and loved them but eventually found them to be a bother. They kept on beeping for no reason which I found concerning not knowing if it was recording or not. Then , I had to remind myself at least every 6 mos to perform a software update… oy.

I took a leap of faith and switched to a ring dashcam and love it albeit much pricier. But being able to stream from my phone and watch it anywhere was worth the cam and subscription fee.
