You could say that about almost any online retailer not named Amazon, but I've ordered many items from Zavvi with zero issues. I don't know why this is always posted when a Zavvi deal comes up.

I recently bought the purple variant of this set and didn't have any quality concerns. Some 3rd party brands are better than others. I've had good luck with TGL sets. You can do aliexpress or other sites on Google have them too. Example, search Google for TGL T006-1. Thats the purple version. I've also seen red, yellow, black with gold rims, green, versions of the Daytona SP3 so far.
I too enjoy buying legit Legos but when stuff started getting over $400, I needed to look for alternatives.

I loved this build but there was an error in the printed instructions that caused the transmission to not properly shift. Found the corrections online but had to take half the car apart to get to it.

Wasn't aware this was an issue, thanks for mentioning it. Do you have a link you could share to the updated/corrected instructions you could share? I'm planning to build this and would like to build it correctly the first time if possible Smilie Thank you!

However the clones are getting pretty close to Lego quality. You will likely have to replace a few gears and pins, or minifigures depending on the set.
Another thing to keep in mind - many Lego sets become collectable and have a high resale value.... clone sets not so much.

Has anyone that ordered the Ferrari this time around gotten it yet?

I ordered two of them, Zavvi says both have been dispatched, but then I check the tracking numbers, they both say waiting for pickup, and the weight on both is under .3lbs.

I've ordered over a dozen of the high-end Lego sets from Zavvi and have never had an issue. I emailed their support, and they said they're going to be reaching out to the courier and will get back to me in 3-5 days.

UPDATE.. I have to wait until 4/10 to get anything done since they claim they have to wait a certain amount of days for it to be delivered.

Right, stealing the R and D and printing a brick is the way lol. Besides this lego set will do nothing but go up in value once discontinued, and chineese knockoffs won't.
