At this point I don't mind waiting a bit longer for a better sale or a slimmer version of the console. Basically lost the urge to buy this thing after how difficult they made it at first.

I bought my PS4 Slim on Black Friday 2016 for $199 at Fry's in Burbank. Bought a bunch of great titles for $10-$20 with it that had dropped in price since launch. Great memories! The PS5 is a joke by comparison at this same point of it's lifecycle.

Doesn't help that you can get an Xbox Series S (the underpowered one) for as little as $150 and get the Microsoft Game Pass subscription service for about $30/year.

If they'd had a deal like this available at this time last year I probably would have bought one just to play my PS4 & PS3 games but at this point the only upcoming game I'm hyped for is Starfield and that's an Xbox exclusive.

If it doesnt float your boat oh well, i loved my ps5 since the day i got it. If you think long term the series S is a better deal be my guess.

Like people in the same boat its been so long I don't even want one. Got a Series X 2 years ago. It seems like every week there is something new with the PS5 though. Controller triggers failing, stick drift and now some liquid metal that can shift depending on how the console sits.

Yes I might get downvoted but after having 3 PS4s with 2 of them failing in the first year Sony just doesn't put out a good console until revision.

They keep those fake 40$ discounts, like they are selling gold,insteas of just having good deals on a console that's already years old. The fact that for a long time people were not able to get one doesn't mean that this is still something new.
