Tried buying this a couple of times at Walmart online and kept getting 'transaction cancelled' due to security issues. Used my credit card and paypal and could not get either to work. But, Amazon and Nintendo both have this for $39.99 right now (digital version) so I just bought direct.
Isn't this like a 10-15 year old game?
When are we getting Mario Kart 9

If you're using an AdBlocker or are in Private(incognito)Mode, it'll hinder you from purchasing. Also, MK doesn't often go on Sale.

Wow I didn't think it would break the $40 price point due to the mario premium.

When people stop paying full price for a 10 year old game.

Why would Nintendo reinvent the wheel when some customers will pay top dollar for Fred Flintstone's used tires

People are willing to pay it because it's a high quality game. It also helps that Nintendo is STILL supporting the game with updates and new DLC, including both tracks and characters.

When did I say it was a bad game or lacking quality? Duck Hunt was a quality game too, just not going to drop $40 on it.

Yes, and players are supporting those updates by buying the same game over and over on every console and paying for the DLC. You might have a point if the new content was free.

Nintendo will continue to offer the same dead horse if their customers continue to pay full price to beat it.
