Another thing to add: if it loses power, it remembers the settings it was set to. So when power is restored, it will turn it self back on to the last setting. So conceivably, you can use a smart plug to automate turning it on and off.

This is wrong. You need to look at the CADR value, not advertised square footage. AHAM used CADR, and Coway listed their CADR at 328 for dust and smoke, 400 for pollen: https://cowaymega.com/products/airmega-400

Winix C545 is verified by AHAM to have 360 sqft coverage: https://www.winixamerica.com/prod...-purifier/

But in the listing, C545 has CADR at 232 for smoke, 243 for dust, and 246 by pollen.

Coway is not verified by AHAM as the time I looked it up for this post. At 3.6 times the price of C545, I don't think it is a good deal, rather a bad one. Furthermore, you want multiple air purifier at multiple spot in the house rather than a single one at a big room to catch dust before it settles on the floor.

Farting next to them has practically become a sport in our household to see how far you can make the indicator go and how fast the blower ramps up. They do filter odor quite well too. 😂

FWIW, I bought this on 4/12/2022 for $382.50. It's been on 24/7 since I received it. I clean the pre-filter every other month or so, and just last week it's indicating I need to replace the main filter. 10/10 would buy again.

Ah ok, in that case this might not make sense over the Winix. I have a rather large house with an open concept where the living room, kitchen and dining together would approach that square footage. I already have the winix in my main bedroom so decided to get this for the rest of the house since allergy season is right around the corner.

I have 2 winix 545s and a coway. The winix is much quicker to react to scents but this is better with air quality, at least imo. Also, it works faster to get rid of allergens and smells, and covers a bigger area

Bought it here when it was 290 : ) It's a great purifier, much better than the Costco winix that we also have. Pulls much more it sends in to the pre filter than other brands we've used.
