Good price. Decent stand. I had this same one (or something identical) for the last four years or so. As the old adage goes, you get what you pay for. At a certain point, this could no longer support the weight of my Yeti Blue. If you think you're going to eventually get a more expensive stand, my advice would be just to skip this and spend the extra $50 and get something better.

This is a good deal. It is probably not quite strong enough to hold up the regular size Yeti Blue. That said, if you tighten the springs and lock it down with the thumbscrews it does the job. I have a pop filter and it's quite a snug fit. If you have a sound isolator / shock absorber it will not fit and even if it did, it couldn't hold it. This thing is so cheap, just get it if you want to try it.

What do you suggest for a yeti blue mic?

Bought a very similar one from Amazon on a deal posted here before. Someone suggested swapping out the metal springs for rubber bands to avoid vibrations you might get from them, and it has worked great for me. It makes adjustments feel much smoother. I used the medium thick bands and added a couple extra an the lower part to ensure it is able to hold my mic just fine (Samson Q2U).

Pro Tip: they sale black rubber bands

This is the boom arm I went with:

https://i-xtech.com/products/rota...x1EALw_wcB

I've only been using it for a little more than a month, but so far it's been sturdy and feels like it can easily handle the weight of my Yeti Blue and shock absorber.

I bought mine on Amazon for $59.99 on sale. If you search ixtech boom arm, you'll find several models. The Elegance, which is the one I have, is currently $59.99 plus a a 5% off coupon. That's a slightly better deal than what I got, and I was happy with it.

Also, if you care about aesthetics, this one also hides your USB in a cable channel built into the arm. If you're a streamer or a neat freak, that's a nice perk. Similar boom arms go for well over $100.

I bought the $20 Innogear version, but it looks identical, and included the shock mount, pop filter, blue yeti thread adapter and 5 branded hook and loop straps. I use it with an Audio Technica AT-2020 since April 2021

the arm on this looks almost exactly like the arm on my magnifying light that I use for electronic work. I broke it years ago (my fault, not the fault of the product).

I got one so I can fix my light.

I got this or something similar for my webcam. Hate working with the camera hanging off the top of the monitor, but also hate having to grab and mount it for every meeting, so this came as a neat solution: just lift and lower from behind the monitor as needed. Not something you have to have, but a small time saver for a small price.
