i never had a scooter in my life, but can't you just not ride that fast? i mean a tesla can do 160 mph or 0 to 60 in 3 second if i floor it, but it doesn't mean i ever come close to those numbers in daily drive. why no one complains about electrical vehicle been too powerful (or any modern vehicle for that sake) yet everyone screams about electric scooter or bike been too powerful? i don't get the logic here.

Cars have airbags and some level of protection around you. A scooter has zero protection. Anyone buying this will certainly push their limits, much like we do when we drive 80mph in a 65mph speed zone.

Did you just say driving 80 in a 65 is pushing the limit? That's like moving with the speed of traffic. Pushing the limits in the car would be doing like 140+

Well.. no car, and I mean no car of any price, can protect you when you get in a collision at the top speed. The top speed of even a Corolla is 140 mph. You can just forget about airbags or any protection at those speed. you will die if shit happens at 140 mph, that's a fact

it is up to drivers discretion to make sure you stay in the safe zone, which once again... no different than a e bike or e scooter

I got a duotts d30 from a recent deal with dual 2800watt motors. Yes going 30+ mph on scooter is sketchy AF but man is it fun. It came with off road tires and as soon as they wear out I am getting road tires. definitely know what you are getting into to.

I was taking a turn at 5mph on a scooter and watching for cross traffic so I missed a tiny pothole in the street, more just an uneven ridge actually. I was on ground before I knew what happened. Didn't get hurt I'll just say that at 5mph you still go superman if you take an unexpected fall.

I hope that thing has good suspension.. any uneven ground with wheels that size is scary.

I fell off a 18mph scooter with no helmet. Spent 4 days in the pcu with a traumatic brain injury. This thing would be a death trap.

I used to work for an electric scooter repair shop that WAS (no longer is) a Joyor dealer, so I have the most experience when it comes to working on Joyor scooters and dealing with Joyor to do warranty work and to get parts from them for repairs. All I have to say is STAY AWAY FROM JOYOR. You might get lucky and get a scooter that works flawlessly for a few months, but Joyor has some of the worst build quality and quality control that I have seen on any scooter over $300. Joyor used to be great about sending our shop parts for warranty work, but then suddenly they just stopped sending us parts that we asked for TO FIX THEIR NEW SCOOTERS THAT HAD PROBLEMS OUT OF THE BOX. They would come with loose connectors that were barely making contact, so they would still technically work, but because the contact wasn't tight, it would cause a lot of resistance, which would then lead to a lot of heat build-up, which would eventually melt cable insulation and cause electrical shorts and even fires.

So here are my final thoughts. Joyor is a hit or miss. They were the best bang-for-your-buck when we used to sell them, but after they stopped sending us parts for warranty work and after we started seeing an alarmingly high percentage of failure rates in NEW scooters, along with the sudden refusal to send us parts for repairs and warranty work, we cut all ties with Joyor and recommend everyone else stay away from them.
