More than likely it'll be an issue (torch-style lighters are not permitted). Likewise, other lighters with fuel are not permitted (unfueled, they can be transported in check-in baggage).

A gift I gave a friend, a F1 billet-machined alloy regular-flame butane lighter was confiscated by TSA from a carry-on bag a few years ago stateside.

Smoked one of these and it tasted great. Took like an hour to get through. Went inside and brushed my teeth and washed my hands and started feeling sick. 10 minutes later I puked a few times went to bed....
