I ordered but after reading reviews on Amazon and Chewy I quickly canceled the order. Look at the pictures - I'm not willing to take that chance on a big vet bill to save a couple of bucks.

If you want a fairly indestructible ball, buy the hard Chuckit! Balls. There's so much smooth surface area, that it's difficult to snag and tear on teeth. Plus it's rubber so it has a chew quality in the mouth.

The 1-star reviewers seem to have gotten a knockoff version that's hollow plastic and not rubber. Not cool...

I purchased a similar heavyweight JW dog toy last year and it was completely pulverized in about 5 minutes. My dog is an aggressive chewer so perhaps she is the problem but if you are on the fence, err on the side of saving your $

They are hollow as pictured on the product page as well as the JW home site where they have a dismal 2.3 out of 5 rating! The pictures I've seen of failures clearly seem to be rubber and not plastic, so I'm not sure why you would say that.
Surprisingly, JW is owned by the same parent company (Petmate) that owns Chuckit, and as others have mentioned, I've had great luck with Chuckit products.
