Super tempted because I have only seen the theatrical versions. I however do have HBO Max and should watch it there and then decide.

The Extended editions are so much better. Sure, a few things I can see why they cut it. Other decisions baffle me. Even the first Hobbit movie Extended edition is fantastic.

I have these all in Blu-ray - but I tempted to rebuy them for digital versions. Do these included all of the behind the scenes footage?

I heard uhd has different color grading on the uhd discs…is that present on the digital? If so, would you still get the classic color on hdx? And can you still select hdx if you have uhd in Vudu?

I hope so. I have the hdx versions and want to watch the remastered versions, but don't have a 4k TV. I bought them anyway because I'm sure I'll get a 4k oled at some point when my plasma TV eventually dies. I'll try to watch a few minutes tonight to see if the color is better in 1080p than the previous release.

Had these for a few years. Wife and I re-watched all 6 just less than a year ago. Made a deal with our 12 year old that if read the books we would watch them together. Started with the Hobbit and done with that now. We are slow rolling the Fellowship right now since the books are much longer to read vs even the extended watching.
