I hope so. I have the hdx versions and want to watch the remastered versions, but don't have a 4k TV. I bought them anyway because I'm sure I'll get a 4k oled at some point when my plasma TV eventually dies. I'll try to watch a few minutes tonight to see if the color is better in 1080p than the previous release.

Had these for a few years. Wife and I re-watched all 6 just less than a year ago. Made a deal with our 12 year old that if read the books we would watch them together. Started with the Hobbit and done with that now. We are slow rolling the Fellowship right now since the books are much longer to read vs even the extended watching.

Only watched the regular versions, attempted to rewatch all the movies again prior to rings of power series.even though it's not necessary.did get through the hobbit movies and part of lord of the rings before giving up. Did buy this set from Xbox/Microsoft store for same price last august
