Franchises shouldn't be allowed to opt out of advertised deals. Getting the benefits of the advertising but not offering the deal seems wrong.

My local subway operator says those deals are crushing him. Corporate doesn't care because they sell him the ingredients and basically give them away at cost leaving him just the chips and drinks for profit.

Agreed. You shouldn't be able to leverage the brand recognition of a national chain but not follow their marketing.

Otherwise open your own sandwich shop and charge whatever the hell you want
