Franchises shouldn't be allowed to opt out of advertised deals. Getting the benefits of the advertising but not offering the deal seems wrong.

My local subway operator says those deals are crushing him. Corporate doesn't care because they sell him the ingredients and basically give them away at cost leaving him just the chips and drinks for profit.

oh yes. we paid $17 for 8 piece just last week, at our kfc. $10 for 8 piece with variety of choices is a 5 star deal. you dont have to stay with "original" like op mentioned. you can pick original, extra crispy, grill, variety or drums & thighs.

I wonder if it's other areas of the business that cause this. Our local Subway seems to have a lot of waste compared to the one inside our Walmart and it doesn't seem like the workers care. Add in the occasional freebie and all of that adds up quick when your profit margin is already razor thin for a promo deal to begin with.

You can choose all dark when ordering the bucket from kfc. There's 2 choices, dark or variety.

Yup. I'm aware of it. Thanks though. Those who love white meat could say these 2 deals are not comparable because Popeye's deals is limited to dark meat only. To me it's irrelevant as I'd pay extra to get dark meat instead of white meat.

Popeye's Tuesday deal ran for at least a decade, so many of us know exactly what the OP was talking about even when his phrasing was ambiguous.
