Yeah, it looks like Chinese advertising. dunno about the counterfeit part, but it would most definitely be a Chinese product, for china products are typically made to a lower quality.

Amazon is full of counterfeit or fake products with fake reviews. LTT just did a video on this where they bought SSDs from Amazon and opened them up verified they were not the rated capacity. Fraud happens on Amazon (Marketplace).

Amazon doesnt check each one. It gets shipped to them then it goes to a warehouse shelf and get picked by a robot when someone buys it.
