Just bought one as an Easter surprise for the kids. I've been looking for an excuse to try this game.

I wish they did something with decade old 3D world to compel me paying $40 for a game I have on Wii U. BF isn't enough.

Thanks for posting. Just bought a new switch from woot and this is gonna be the first game I get so I can play with my 5 year old. Now do I get a physical copy for future resale but risk my kids losing it or go digital? Decisions decisions

If you have any plans of buying a second switch down the line, I would go digital because you can use it on both consoles without having to go to track down the cartridge

But, only the license holder can play on the second Switch. If you get up to three Switches or Switch Lites, note that only one can be the home console, so you have to pick your favorite kid because the other can't play anything. Cartridges are inconvenient, but at least you can use them within a household.

We play across three devices with no problem at all. We all have separate accounts but most purchases are done on my main account

I'd be curious how you do it. If you, as the account holder, are logged onto two Switches and let your kids play that way it'll work. It just messes with cloud saves. And you can't activate licenses on the same account on two non-primary Switches at the same time. And you need an active Internet connection, so it doesn't work terribly well when traveling. It even extends to DLC, so it can screw up playing something like Breath of the Wild on cartridge if you also have the DLC. If you have a different workflow, I'd love to hear it. I couldn't believe that was the user experience, but it matched up with what Nintendo's support site says. I'd love to find out I misunderstood the docs.
