Probably the best entry point into Sanderson's Cosmere books; enjoy the rabbit hole if this is your first Cosmere novel.

I started with Starlight 0- because I apparently wanted to be dumped in the middle - it's glorious-, am fully hooked, have know about mistborn since it came out, and am going to pause after oath bringer to catch up on MB era 1

One of my most favorite books I have ever read. Great intro to a great series.

10 week wait on Libby for my big city library system. So, if you are interested, why not for a couple dollars?

Also, Warbreaker is free download from BrandonSanderson.com if $2 is too much to try out the Cosmere.

(Mistborn isn't my favorite series. I started on Stormlight and still think it's just a more interesting setting.)

I picked up the final empire audiobook for a 2000 mile drive I did last week. It's definitely worth the 2 dollars.

I find the world, environment and premise quite fascinating. His writing style, at least in this book, is focused on "mechanics" of character abilities and emotions. I do find he consistently and constantly expresses how individuals are feeling or in what manner/method/order they used their abilities, instead of allowing the reader to understand the character, their personalities and their abilities naturally through events and dialogue, which happens to be my preference.

I'm still highly enjoying the book, but I am a little exhausted of 28 hours of being reminded that this one character has trust and confidence issues. I get it, bro, so do I.

This came highly recommended and bored the poop out of me. If it doesn't click for you, don't feel like you're doing something wrong. A lot of people just really don't like Sanderson's writing.

I felt the same about this book and outside of the world building wasn't a big fan. I have a friend who is really big into Sanderson though and said I should give some of the other ones a try. I might do that once I finish The Expanse series.

Not a high quality writer tbh. He has loads of reddit fans that it will eat it up though.
