$35 MSRP is grossly overpriced…. even $12 for the included components seems like normal retail price; mostly paper with a handful of wooden sticks/kabobs.

Target shows the regular price is $17.99 which seems more appropriate.

Agreed. Melissa and Doug is a familiar brand which I appreciate but that stuff is of borderline quality and often overpriced even for kid stuff. We bought a set of salad toys and a surprising number of the toys were the perfect size and shape for choking. The set was rated for children one and up but it was clearly not safe for that age group.

Totally. When you compare this to most of the other sets with similar retail this has like nothing. Mostly cardboard pieces.
