I posted my recipe on the last deal and I think it works really good.

I used 1 tsp each, citric acid granules and baking soda, 14 oz water, and 2 oz Dawn Platinum. Mix the citric acid, baking soda and water together first, and let it bubble off, then add the Dawn and mix before adding to the sprayer bottle. When mixing, make sure you use a large enough container (at least 4 cups) to handle the initial foaming. When combined, the mixture will have a light blue, milky color, and a thicker viscosity. It's great because it sticks to whatever you are spraying it on. It rinses off easier too.

Update 3/28 - I tried experimenting with different amounts of citric acid and baking soda. The more citric acid you add, the fewer suds you will get when spraying, but the citric acid is really effective. I think a 1 to 1 ratio acid/soda is best. By all means test different amounts. Honestly, I don't know the best amounts yet, but I'm still testing. The formula isn't harsh on your skin and there aren't any noxious fumes.
1 spray & 2 refills for $7.98 at Sam's Club right now after the $2 Instant Savings.
It's not as good, this stuff is like $3 a bottle and it lasts for a couple of weeks. Why bother.

I too can spend $20 worth of my time to save $2.

This is a good deal! It's worth giving it a try.

There's some additives to it- alcohol is probably one, there are most likely others. There are 10000 people claiming they "cracked the formula" and buy $20 worth of ingredients to avoid paying $10, but I love the stuff. Makes "clean as you go" people like me very efficient when making dinner Smilie

I started DIY refills because I find the scents in these way too strong and scentless powerwash bottles (nevermind deals!) are hard to find.

Super easy to throw 4tbsp clear dawn and 2tbsp isopropyl into the bottle and top off w water to refill!

I bought a single 16 ounce bottle for $3 a few months ago and loved it while it lasted. Problem is that I'm too stingy to buy the refills so I have been experimenting finding my own cheap basterd formula...

Right now I use a decent amount of Dawn and fill it up until the sticker starts (Between the bottom of the bottle and label).

Then I give a quick pour of 91% Isopropyl alcohol. I say just enough until it meets with the 16 ounce text on the label.

Finally, I fill the bottle with distilled water up till the cap/nozzle starts to meet the bottle. Don't fill it up all the way to the true top of the bottle as the foaming action of sprayer will not work properly.

I find this Cheap Basterd formula works fairly well and does not require careful measuring which I'm too lazy to do and is not too much of a hassle to make...

I'm seeing $9.59 online for Costco, maybe $7.99 is in store only?
Member since 2004?

That's how Costco, BJ's, and Bunch of other retailers work(and/or they have a delivery charge). LMAO

Pretty much the same recipe I use, but I like your "no measure" guide. I'll give it a try next batch. Thanks for the input.

Another deal from staff.

You can make your own with Dawn soap at much cheaper price.

You can't. This stuff is Dawn in name only and is a completely different product than Dawn dish detergent. It has highly concentrated surfactants which make it clean very aggressively, kind of like a gentle oven cleaner. There is no substitute and it is well worth $2.50 per bottle.

Dear first page of comments: there's an ingredients list on the bottle.

And one squeeze of the trigger let's you know half the magic is in the mechanism they created.. chemically pressurized bottles wish they had the consistent and surprisingly long spray pattern the dawn engineers came up with.

And it's affordable for every American household!

Bravo, perhaps human kind's greatest achievement before AI takes over.

Just buy the huge bottles to refill a pump you keep at the sink. No need for so much waste and a gimmicky sprayer that I guarantee will eventually clog and/or break.

I'm in a few Costco Fakebook groups and every time this stuff goes on sale for the $7.99 price for the 3 Pack (in store) I'm horrified when people say that you can use this on your pets because Dawn is used to get oil spill oil off of ducks in Dawn's ads from years ago.
This stuff is not the same stuff at all!

Please don't use this on your pets.
