really a pretty good deal just the 6TB of storage would cost about 25 bucks or so a year.
Don't forget many schools offer Office for free to students and faculty.

But, you can cancel the 'auto renewal' post purchase and then opt for the better deal after 12 months, I assume ? All you really need is an activation key to re-activate.

Similar question: if I buy this, can I apply it to my corporate pricing subscription, extend that for a year, and then stay at the corporate discount price on the next renewal?

Since it transfers your subscription to Amazon, can I buy 2 (one per order) and have them stack? At $50/year I'm happy with my subscription being managed by Amazon. I don't think it ever goes lower for Family does it?

yes, it transfers management to Amazon.

But you can stack. I had an existing Microsoft 365 account that had 6 months left and after I applied the Amazon code, I have 18 months left.

And if there are new deals, you can buy it and let it sit in your Amazon subscriptions until you want to redeem them.

Buy personal which can be had for $35 at times which gives you 9 months of family which is cheaper than this deal.

You can extend your current M365 subscription with this deal if your current subscription is the same as the one in the deal. Once you redeem it on the MS website, it will extend your current subscription by the exact amount of time you purchased (12 months in this case). So, if you subscription is currently running out on June 12, 2023, it will extend it until June 13, 2024. (I have been doing this for years. Just did it again last week.)

So I did exactly this yesterday, hoping that entering the keycode from the Amazon site AT the MS site, my subscription would stay at MS, but no.

One thing I noticed is that after adding the keycode, my account at MS then switches to saying it is managed at Amazon. I went to Amazon, and it showed my subscription expires in a year, not one year from August 2023 which is when my subscription was to expire.

But give it time (about 10 minutes), and the expiration changes and is 1 year from when your subscription was to expire.
