My son learned to ride on a $20 slick deal balance bike from Walmart. He started on a 16 inch pedal bike right when he turned 3 and learned instantly. Now he's 4 and shreds. I still have his balance bike but its blue so I'm gonna get this for my 18mo daughter. Balance bikes are pretty simple they don't need expensive ones, save that for 16inch and make sure you get them one that's super light.
