I would normally agree with you. But, there are a couple deals (like the one below) that actually do work. I can confirm I received a free T-shirt from the deal below.

I got the 'Jesus refugee' and 'recycle' shirts and they came quite fast.
The only free item I never got was the Agave drinking straws...
I did receive the Agave straws and a few yrs ago the tobacco coasters. However a few that I 'signed up for' (sold my email) never showed up, from what I can recall - the cruise calendar, the hair brush, the citrus bag, some t-shirts etc.

When the internet was new the offers for the free t shirts were legitimate. I have about 20 that I keep pristine hoping one day to have them made into a quilt. Too many of the offers now are either orphan sites or as you called them "harvest" sites. I suspect this particular one isn't going to be sent. which I why I'll use my post office address.
