Note that most of the base models are NOT SSDs, meaning they will be quite slow (in addition to the older processor). It does look like you can upgrade to SSD for a bit more.

AFAIK yeah. 8th gen or better only. Now it makes more sense why the first post was about the (W11-compatible) 3070 instead.
