About this Item:
The Nintendo Switch – OLED Model - The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Edition system features a design inspired by the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom game, including the familiar Hylian Crest from the Legend of Zelda series on the front of the dock (game not included).
I just successfully got in line and pre-ordered one for local pickup in Utah.
Order before the scalpers do, if you're planning on getting one!
I wish you all a wonderful Tuesday & GOOD LUCK!! ^_^
I know this will be a collectible and probably fetch north of $500 some day but man, I echo the sentiment that this hardware is really aging. It was slow in 2017 and even slower today. I really hope we see a revision to the hardware soon, when in reality the tegra chip inside is from late 2015…
It was only about as powerful as a mid-range smartphone when it came out. You can get a smartphone for less than $100 that's more powerful than it nowadays. Specs for the new Tegra T289 have already leaked, and it's going to be a MASSIVE jump in performance with support for DLSS and ray-tracing. DLSS will be a game-changer for the Switch, especially in docked mode.
I'd be pretty surprised if these fetch much a premium for you flippers out there. I think the most in demand collector switch model was the Animal Crossing one and even that ended up having plenty of inventory after the initial rush, which happened at the onset of COVID.
The Switch CEs don't hold the appeal of some of the 3ds designs. Those were works of art. These just look like some stickers slapped on the joycons with practically nothing done to the tablet part.
I wish I had held on to some of my 3ds Zelda editions.

I think because for a bit the white OLED was a little hard to find, and the Pokemon one was especially selling for higher (and really hard to find available pre-orders i think)... but considering how easy it's been so far to pre-order this one on multiple sites, I agree with this not netting much if thats the plan.
I pre-ordered one for myself, but the design leaves me wanting so much more/better, so might end up cancelling/selling at near cost
Looks great, but this hardware really needs a processor/GPU upgrade.
Did they ever upgrade the stand at least? That's my main complaint with my original switch. Such a cheap plastic piece of crap. Damages the screen if you're not careful and prone to disconnecting. It only has one job and it can't even do that!
The fact that this is still available from every store that has preorders says a lot about either
a) the production numbers are quite high
b) the interest is not there (most people probably already have an oled switch and do not want to pay almost $400 after tax for a different paint job)
I'd probably buy this if I hadn't already bought 3 switches, multiple Joy Cons that drift and break, and hadn't discovered Cemu, Yuzu, and Ryujinx. Now, I can just buy Switch games instead of Switches, and play them on far more capable hardware.

Who would of thought, Nintendo products have a much better investment return when compared to GOLD. 👌
