I have other normal sunglasses to drive and be out on the boat and they are polarized. It helps with glare, especially on the water. I wear aviators to fly because they fit well under headsets. The problem with polarization is it makes it harder to see the screens that I am using (GPS, engine monitor, iPad....) so I don't buy polarized glasses to leave in the plane.

by the way, some oakley glasses like chainlink or OO9341 xl, are available on amazon for same price or lower, and with free returns in case you need to return them.

I would be in for those Costa aviators if they weren't polarized. That stinks.

Care to elaborate why you don't like polarized lenses. I'm currently looking to get some for driving under the understanding that the they improve visibility. Am I missing something?

Buyer beware. Amazon still hasn't ended inventory commingling with random sellers that use Amazon warehouses and fulfillment, meaning there's a good chance that you can get fake sun glasses. Who knows if the fakes even have UV protection or not

Even worse, Woot sells things for 3rd party vendors and doesn't disclose who the true merchant is. So you really have no idea how reputable the source is :/
