I have other normal sunglasses to drive and be out on the boat and they are polarized. It helps with glare, especially on the water. I wear aviators to fly because they fit well under headsets. The problem with polarization is it makes it harder to see the screens that I am using (GPS, engine monitor, iPad....) so I don't buy polarized glasses to leave in the plane.

Heads up for you slickdealers. I was in ROSS the other day. They had Oakley's and Ray Bans for super cheap. As an example they had Holbrooks with prism lenses for $50.
