I have this and have been using it for a couple years now. The gimbal element is solid and video quality is good. The controls on it is the drawback in my opinion. Using the screen to go between menus is clumsy and especially if you want to move the camera up and down. I recommend getting the joystick from the Pocket 2 for this.

Great camera. Only cheap because the pocket 2 is out and more competition with the newer Feiyutech gimbals and other products

Yeah.. Those suck and the app suck more. Dji isn't all that great either but it's the better of the bunch.

Currently testing smooth 5 and the one from hoheim?

All I remember from the hoheim is that it can't handle heavier phones like mine

I have this and use it regularly in spite of its warts. Awesomely poor ergonomics (there is literally no way to hook it up by USB and transfer pictures without either holding it in your hand or trying to balance it against something after your turn it on) and missing obvious features (wifi is an add-on base thingy.)

But it is a simple, reliable tool, to take stabilized quality 4k video of action. I use it for ice skating and other kid sports.

Their older models like steady. Also had numerous quality issues from every single one I bought and use. This is one product where they failed so often that I think the positive reviews on YT are shills. I have their new M6 and the build quality is top notch. Haven't use it yet so I can't comment.

I have the ziyhin smooth 5 to test as well. Not much in terms of improvement to consider and upgrade.

Was waiting for the pocket 2 to get discounted due to pocket 3 coming out next month. This is a good deal on pocket 1, but this thing came out in December 2018.

That said, video quality is pretty good.
