So yea….I wouldn't jump to assume this is some huge steal that will be unobtainable with lines wrapped around the building. People without a membership will still be paying a minimum of $8…not including a tip. I mean it's still a good deal…but people will realize at checkout that it's not the freebie they thought it would be.
This should be one of those times where getting hot food is unexpected. Even with a high tip (most of the shown tip will likely be hidden to the delivery driver), there are going to be delivery drivers who decide to bail after they realize the food is not going to be ready for 15-30 minutes. If you're lucky, you'll get a driver who patiently waits for the order to be prepared or you'll get a driver—after several other drivers have already accepted and then rejected the order upon acknowledging the wait times—who shows up right as the order is finishing up.
Wendy's tends to be bad enough as it is, even without a promotion. I personally think this will be messy for all parties involved (i.e., diner, dasher, the likely understaffed Wendy's, and Doordash).
It would be delightfully ironic, though, if Famine was my DoorDash driver.
