I would not recommend walmart+. Seems like about 75% of the items I want they either won't ship or require a scheduled delivery (which usually either requires or strongly requests a tip). I honestly find myself hardly ever using walmart+ because of this caveat. I'll be discontinuing my service next go-round if that doesn't change. Feel like it was a bait and switch when they promised free shipping and then it turned out it was only on select items.

Not sure but I always find Walmart a bit wonky.

I don't have the + account and I wanted to order an $1 item for pickup. It was not available but free delivery was available. They had someone drive from a neighboring Walmart just to deliver me a $1 item. Not that I'm complaining. I think the gas and time of the employee exceeds that $1 item. Lol

I have Walmart plus. It's a love hate relationship. When ordering it asks how do I want my items? I pick shipping. Not pick up or delivery. But shipping. I'll have an estimated time for delivery from fed ex. Next thing I know, someone from Walmart delivers the item at my door, while I'm not home or expecting a package. They will just toss my items naked out in the open. Not in a bag, not in a box. Just tossed in the open.

I had W+ for 3 months when it was on a deal (i forget how much, maybe 3$/month?) and for most of that time I found it useful. I have had beef broth, toilet paper, paper towels, and diapers all delivered same day if I ordered in the morning.

But then they started shipping burst beef broth, most of the useful household grocery items like kosher salt, seasonings, etc will not ship to me - and the worst shipment was when I ordered a bag of sun chips which clearly stated $3.46 but for whatever reason was shipped from a 3rd party store on the other side of the country and charged me $17 for the same bag of chips.

Don't pay for this service.
-There is no consistency in their packaging or shipping, no LOGIC in their LOGISTICS
-Most of the little things you would need for your pantry are unavailable for shipping
-For the things that are available and you would want to be shipped, $35 is easily cleared

Even without this deal the service is great. I get all my groceries delivered and if something is not right, they refund you. Also, you are not forced to tip.

Agreed, and the tip amounts were absurd. I tried it for a month, and every item I tried to order ended up getting cancelled the day it was supposed to be delivered without a reason. On one attempt to purchase a higher quality item that was discounted, they told me it wasn't available a few hours before it was supposed to be delivered and they were going to substitute it with a "similar" (lower quality) item without charge like they were doing me a favor, and said I had a time limit to cancel the order otherwise it would automatically be swapped. I cancelled that day.
I can answer why your deliveries get cancelled. Walmart used to use doordash for deliveries, those drivers started realizing people werent tipping and dd/wm were stealing the tips in the app. So walmart created "spark" which is mostly for walmart deliveries, similar to amazon flex, where a random person will deliver your order.

No one stays with Spark, theres no money to be made.
So when theres no drivers because theres no tips because these companies are cheap, they cancel the orders.

Your discounted item being cancelled is just walmart being awful to their customers. Theyre trying to stop stuff like Brickseek so customers cant get things super cheap because of price errors.

walmart plus is such trash now. I remember when they initially came out with it, I was able to order under $35 worth of stuff and be able to pickup without any fees. now, I get charged a fee if it's under $35 or If I select popular delivery times. like what's even the point if I can probably just go pick up all my items in stores without these extra costs lol.

I signed up a year ago. Many of their items are only available from overpriced third party sellers. Many other times when I order an item I find it's no longer available or it ships and "gets lost". I thought buying in the store by scanning would be a great feature but without a special checkout line, it's not one bit helpful. This would be a waste of money even at a reduced cost n

Do not compare this with Amazon. Walmart+ is absurd. They are charging $13 monthly and then you still have to pay tips to the delivery drivers and also the minimum order is $35. It just doesn't make sense.

How does Walmart+ compare to Amazon Prime?
I guess it would depend on which one you order from the most. I have Walmart+ with in home delivery and I personally love it. Sure, I've had my share of small issues with maybe 2 orders but their customer service was actually really efficient and quick to respond to my issues I had at the time. I love the in home option just because if I'm being lazy that day the associate will actually deliver and unpack my items in the kitchen for me or wherever I ask to have the "in-home" delivery delivered to. So that's a big plus for me with a newborn and a rambunctious 5 year old lol. In store grocery shopping for me with those two is a TASK lol. Prime on the other hand has been the wonky one for me. It's hit and miss with that one. Some stuff is cheaper, but for my end it's the delivery issues. They use to be consistent with shipping and it getting to me in the stated time. But now not so much. Or things arrive damaged and leaking like crazy. I still have Prime myself because of the shipping perks. Oh and for in-home Walmart+ you don't have to tip because it's an Walmart associate that delivers it to you. Their in-store shopping feature is cool because if there aren't any checkout registers open you can still go on the app and ask it to transfer to a register, the associate scans the barcode on your phone app and that's it. Everything I've ordered online has went smoothly as well with Walmart+. I needed formula and none of the stores close to me had it so I opted for shipping and I received a message later saying they were delivering it from a local store with no additional costs or extra waiting time. Ummm, that store they got it from was a 2 hour drive from my location lol. I think that's pretty impressive in my humble opinion Smilie sorry if this is so long winded! Smilie

I used to buy alot of things from Walmart with free store pickup. After they started Walmart+, my purchases from them dropped by about 90%. I wonder how many other sales they are losing.

It is generally more reliable for anything stocked by Walmart. It lacks the diversity of Amazon but my Amazon deliveries are on time maybe half the time.

W+ may be worth it if you plan to get groceries from Walmart. As someone who does not, I found it to be pretty useless. Also, the deliveries were unreliable and disorganized. Even at 50% I am not going to renew, though I will admi the Paramount+ almost makes it worth it.

Prime delivery is amazing. The logistics are great. Great selection of products. Typically they have competitive pricing especially if you have the 5% cash back card. Just be sure to buy directly from Amazon rather than their shady 3rd party marketplace. Excellent and easy return policy. And it just keeps getting better. 2 Day delivery used to be the best I could expect, now I often get free next day delivery and the $25 minimum amount only sometimes applies to overnight deliveries (2 day never has a minimum). Prime Video is okish, but I'd prefer Prime to be cheaper and not have it. It also comes with a free music service and photo storage that I don't use so can't really comment on.

I like Walmart+ but they need to come down on their price until they can rival Amazon more, ditch the 35$ minimum fee and go with someone other than FedEx!

We spend over $500/mo in WalMart and my offer was 50% off a $12.99/mo membership.

So 6.50 x 12mos is $78/year

Yess! On weekends it's like biting nails to try to get them to deliver. Then they want you to cancel your order to reorder instead of them just crediting it for you to get the same exact order, so half the time double money taken out and still no promises on delivery! I had to change times many times to just rekick the order thru, then if you have frozen foods, I truly believe that they let it sit and then it becomes spoiled!!
