YMMV

240pk GRK #9 X 3-1/8-in on clearance for $9.77
300pk GRK #9 x 2-1/2-in on clearance for $8.67

I'm at Lowe's at least once a week and have been watching these slowly drop in price within a few months. I finally caved when I saw them for less than $10 and grabbed a few of the 3-1/8 screws and the last 2-1/2 they had on the shelf. I use GRK for almost all of my projects and at this price it's a steal, IMO. Definitely YMMV.

Are these the weird Chinese off brand ones that they sometimes carry?

Built a large deck last summer amd used a variety of fasteners. Thousands of screws, nails, bolts, etc. I vastly preferred the grk screw/lag over all the others I used. The bit fits snug, drives smooth, drives clean holes, and countersinks really nice.

Wish they'd been on sale when I was building, spent well over 1500 pf fasteners alone.

I would have to agree. I typically buy Spax just because it's a lot cheaper but if GRK is ever on sale I always opt for it instead. It drives so much better and stays on a bit like no other.

I just got back from the store, they were on the endcap of the screw aisle near the hardware desk. They had quite a bunch, including a few of those big containers... but I don't have a need for that many screws. I already walked away with 14 pounds as it is lol (split pretty evenly between 2", 2.5", 3.5")
