It's fabric, I would never expect it to hold its shape like a box - if you fill it completely with stacked neatly folded items, it holds its shape just fine. As foxfai pointed out, much cheaper than the plastic boxes. And in addition when not in use it folds up a LOT better than a plastic box does. Have purchased 3 sets of these (not this specific 'brand' but I suspect they all come from the same factory regardless of seller) and they work very well for what they are for.

I no longer put any stock in what fakespot says - it used to be great, but scammers figured out how to game their algorithms so huge numbers of fake reviews show up as good, and in return fakespot had to turn up the sensitivity on their fake-detectors and as a result huge numbers of real reviews show up now as fake. It's basically useless now. Sadly, scammers' tech has outpaced the anti-scammer tech.

basically the same size, the above are $12.99 for 6 after 50% off coupon clipped

EDIT: LINK ABOVE NOW GOES TO A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ITEM THAN WHAT I ORDERED. SELLER APPARENTLY CHANGED THE ITEM ON THE PAGE ENTIRELY. BET THEY KEPT ALL THE REVIEWS OF THE PREVIOUS PRODUCT THOUGH. WE SHALL SEE WHICH PRODUCT I ACTUALLY GET WHEN IT ARRIVES...

This is one of the worst products to buy. The photos are so incredibly false in terms of actual utility. It does not hold its shape.

Yes and no. You are correct it doesn't hold it's shape at all. However it does a bit well with storing cloths. I had these for my kids cloths (winter vs. summer) and just had them stuffed and stack them up. For it's size, it's much cheaper than actual plastic box.

In for a few sets. I like them for fabric. I have a home business and like how I can see what's inside and only have to open 1 side, if necessary. I used to buy clear plastic bins, but the price of those has skyrocketed in recent years.

Going to be the differing opinion but it is probably the use case. We have a bit of loose sewing fabric in the house, it piles up and putting them in cardboard boxes leaves it to if some water gets on it ruins it. Plastic tubs are a bit of a size and storage issue. They are not the greatest quality if you want something to move around a lot, it probably wear down a bit quicker.

The order I just placed is the 4th of 5th one we bought, only do it when I see it pop up here for half off. We just use it for stacking storage, they hold the shape if you have them filled, which fabric folds nice, plus the see through lets you see whats in there to grab it if you need it. Lessens the moving around. Also works so when one has gotten wet, it protected the fabric enough and was good. Actually helped save a lot of space and we have been buying more to help keep clearing out some more fabric that has piled up.

This crap gets pushed on SD so much. Most common complaint is the zipper failing.

When buying similar storage I always look for ones with foldable metal frames. So much more durable and worth the extra $

These don't have separate side zippers. You have to open the whole thing. Still, they're usuful. I get something similar from IKEA.
