Segway has had some of the most abysmal customer service and doesn't really stand behind their product. Only resolution I ever got was to return my product to original retailer, or to buy my own repair parts and fix myself. Careful.

It looks like yes. It's $862 for the go kart frame alone, or $1288 for the bundle (white). The black is $1358. So, if you want the black, buying separately will save you a few bucks. White is basically a wash either way.
