Saw this deal on eBay via buydig so figured I'd post since it's lowest I've seen.. 1779+ tax
Comparable to that beach camera refurbished via Walmart that you had to seperately purchase the 3r warranty for 99 more , so this is cheaper and includes 2yr warranty , not the best warranty though ofc
This one says 90 day manufacturer warranty in description but on listing I also see 2yr extended warranty so not sure which this comes with , under the FAQ it said this.
Items in Certified Refurbished condition include a 2-year extended warranty backed by All-state. Items in seller refurbished condition are backed at minimum by a 90 day warranty.
I'm assuming this is better than that 1799 secondipity deal that is always on eBay even though I'm surprised they have 26 all positive feedback on that item, no warranty but I doubt all feedback is fake.
And I'm assuming the 90 day manufacturer warranty is from buydig , while the 2 year extended warranty is thru allstate/ eBay bc certified refurbished
The 55 is also going for 800 now i see

This is like 400 bux more than the new c2 at 65 which is front page. This seems like way better deal tbh for a better overall tv with warranty but LG c2 has a cult.
The 83 a90J is basically this tv with a heat sink and 6 inches larger for 4500 plus tax.
Basically the only flaw or negative or this Sony is the semi matte screen , glossy would have been better, and the ABL on gaming.
Most people buy 55 or less LG for gaming monitor and their popularity trickles down to the higher sizes yet the pixel density isn't as good above 55-65 and with LG up scaling not being as good as Sonys that matters more on larger TVs. So unless you only watch 4k and Blu ray discs which most don't , the Sony will look better on content that is below 4k.
The C2 benefits are that it has HGIG for gaming and weighs alot less than other OLEDs
For comparison , they are selling the 55 refurb for only a few hundred less , 65 almost same as 77. And the 77 new c2 and a80k go for 2700 plus tax so this is over 1K off after tax. Vs the other "slick" deals being a few hundred in savings, without the 2yr extended warranty from eBay/Allstate this includes which is usually 200 bux for 1 yr.
Yes rtings will say the c2 is better, which means nothing and in the real world is false.
This is slightly worse than the 65 a95K which has raised blacks with ambient lighting and is considered the best tv you can buy , yet it's 77 and can achieve similar picture with live color and some say more accurate in some scenes than a95K. The added brightness is barely noticeable vs the a80K but it is noticeable. I personally keep the brightness on my Sony lcd at zero when viewing at night so brightness isn't too important to me
LG also has bad remote and UI that basically requires a Apple TV 4K or nvidia shield. Vs the Sony which doesn't. The android on my current Sony is actually better sometimes than Apple TV 4K in many aspects like especially sound and raised blacks in DV on Netflix
Personally I'm waiting for the 77 a95L and 77 a80L which will probably crush everything that is out rn

Directly from the article
"The Sony A8H, A80K, A80J, A90J, and A90K all showed severe signs of image retention."
