Bought this in 2TB flavor because of the price/specs back in Feb of 2022 for my PS5(At the time similar performing drives were $40-100 more)

Have not had a single issue with it since that time and it's nearly full 14 months later.

At the rate these are dropping in price I'm torn between buying now and waiting to see how low they go. This summer might be dirt cheap. As in $50 for 1TB and $100 for 2TB. Then there's Black Friday later this year.

I don't need more storage right now so I could wait, but this is tempting.

Yes you can, it's held on with a thermal double sided tape. I took it off so I could install a proper heatsink for my PS5. Speeds were reported at 6300 MB/s so not the full rated speed but it should be fine.
