This newest model got rid of the bright blue settings light. Love mine during the summer. Pushes air through an entire room very well.

Good fan. Have several. Price is good too. There a way to get rid of the beeping sound. Much nicer quieter. Followed instructions in video and worked.

This is really a great fan with only 1 real issue. That is, that at the lowest speeds, it's too dang quiet. Too many times I've gotten up from my home office chair and forgotten to turn it off. So now I just make a habit of always setting the timer on a one or two hour clock so that it automatically turns itself off. If I'm still in the office, it's easy (just 2 buttons to push on the remote) to restart it for another 1 or 2 hour cycle.

Picked up one last time they were on sale, love it. Besides the fact it goes up and down as well as side to side, there's a breeze feature that will increase and decrease fan speed to simulate a nice, gentle breeze. And other than the beeping (particularly when turning it off) it's extremely quiet.

It will work fine on the floor. It has greater movement upwards than downwards so that's a plus for a lower placement.

One concern would be if you have pets. Being on the floor - it would suck up any pet dander/hair into the fan motor.

This fan is surprisingly strong for it's size. Have 2 at home. Both used almost daily for nearly 2 years, still going strong and not very dirty at all considering I've never cleaned them. Other desk fans I've owned gunked up pretty quickly.
