Batteries in these things don't last more than a year or two. They are difficult to replace. All of these handhelds end up in landfills. You're actually better off getting a wired vacuum.
I have an older version and it's been rock solid for ten years. Would buy.
Yeah, I just found mine after full charge it doesn't even last 3min anymore when it used to last about 10min+ and I don't always leave it on a charger. I think I got almost 3yrs out of it but now it's a paperweight. Maybe I get the Ryobi one with replaceable batteries since I already have a few of their accessories.

Did you keep it charging when not in use? That's the only way I'd think the battery would last 10 years....

Got a Ryobi vacuum and is just so much better. If you are already invested in the system it was like 10 bucks on tools outlet.

Is it difficult to replace the battery? I have replaced countless batteries in sealed cell phones and laptops. Guess I'm wondering if the process is destructive to the tool or possible, but a requires some tech knowledge.

Warning! Warning! From all I've read: A) you must HOLD the button down the ENTIRE TIME when using. A lot of people think it's not a big deal, but I want to vacuum UNDER a bed and that would NOT work. B) From what I can see it really DOES need to be hung when charging and thus will NOT work well on a table.

I do with my 4 cell dustbuster. I guess that's why my batteries are still good. All the time I thought that would be bad for it. I took it apart to clean it and see how to replace the cells but I don't see a reason to replace them yet.

Which one did you get? I've heard bad things about all the Ryobi handheld vacs, but I would love to switch to one.
