whoa, what's the point of flouro coated, the whole point of fluoro is that it's nearly transparent in the water but if it's only coated then it defeats the purpose and instead only scuffs easier

I got this last time it was on sale. Seems to work out pretty well. For four dollars. It can be a nice addition for a leader line. 15 pound is a safe bet for four dollars.

It's 300 yards of mono with a harder fluoro coating, Cant expect to get 300 yds of pure fluoro for $4.

Yes but pure fluoro is very stiff so any kinks you get are worse than a Nick in your line. You cant tie just any old knot with fluoro either.

Your experience might be due to their QC department being bad or cheap manufacturing. Had used several times and line never snapped. Even when using it to the "limit" so it's a gamble for everyone on this. I've been one of the lucky ones I'm sure.

these are seem really soft , much softer than regular line for some reason, it coated, but still feel like the coating didnt work well, i had it, didnt like it much , it break often, much cloudier than your clear mono line, well fluoro line also much cloudier as well, but at least they are tough materials, i used this as leader and definitely didnt like it, i would use any seaguar brand leader would be better, but I think these work if you dont care about abrasion , like trout fishing, or nicer open water with no branches or rocks.
