Certainly you've seen many more car-B-Q's burning on the side of the road involving gas cars than electric cars. I know I have.

Yeah no one wants it except it's one of the most sold car in 2022
Why are they dropping prices 5 times a year then? If they didn't drop prices to build hype, would anyone buy them?

Understand why they sold well recently: Record gas prices, Record car shortage. Record stimulus / Free money combined with the lowest interest rates of all time. All of which are now permanently over.

Without these Tesla would already declaring bankruptcy or bought out by Apple.

Because they can? They have good margin and they want to sell even more. That's their business plan

All the stuff you mentioned impact all manufacturers not just Tesla

"Because they can" Well apparently they can't. Sell the stock before their margins fall to under 20%.

It's a multi fold thing..
Demand is dropping , in order to increase sales they have to reduce prices.. it's turning into a volume business, yes this eats into margin but with the advancements being done by their battery research,Tesla will be able to maintain the margins, the more people go with the cheapest option the more money Tesla makes.

Will the stock drop : yes, but it is absurdly expensive compared to where it should be..
All tech companies were valued like crazy during covid and now true valuations are coming in.

$48,000.00 is more than I paid for my first house !!!! The cost of replacing the battery is about what I paid for my house !!! If I can't live in it, it isn't a slick deal for me
Cool

Is your house still 48K?

The real deal is when they come out with the affordable EV that costs $25k then less federal and state rebates which would make it $12k. Likely only a couple years away.

I was still waiting on basic MYLR — was able to get update with blue exterior with white seats for the same price! Date of delivery still stands May 7 to June 4.

This will not happen. An EV that costs 12k? No make could keep up with this demand.

I bought a Tesla and most Tesla buyers don't tell the truth about EVs. YouTubers say only good things about them and they don't tell the truth.EVs are really fun to drive and faster than any other vehicle I drove. Technology is good too. But, 1. Phantom drain 1-5% battery drain per day just like any smartphone. You don't lose gas when an ice vehicle is parked. This is really bad when you forget to charge and you park your car at the airport or family or friend's home, where every mile counts. If you use sentry mode, you can lose 10+% per day. 2. Glass top really gets hot and you need to have the AC running while the EV is parked, which uses the battery a lot. 3. In the winter, the battery loses the range a lot. 4. You will have the charger connected all the time because of 1 2 and 3. Once you buy an EV, you will know. So, is it really saving money when it's plugged in all the time? And super charger is expensive.. same price as gasoline. 5. When you travel with an EV, expect to add at least 1 hr time to 3-4 hr trip for charging and getting to the charger. If you really want an EV, buy also an ICE vehicle.
YUPPPPPP

all ev owners especially tesla ones seem to never be real about the experience or they downplay the negatives

EV is definitely the future, but that future isnt quite yet.

The battery capacity has to be enough to advertise a 500 mile range going 75mph so when taking account to everything you said, those not conservative about range and uses all those features and fall under all the scenarios you described then in a worse case scenario the range would fall to 300-350.

But now we have advertised range at 300-350 IF you drive 50-60MPH and add those factors you mentioned and we are down to 200 mile range!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that is weak

Then of course the EV owners with excuses for that will come out with a reach saying well you shouldnt need to drive that far, its made for only city driving etc. like WHAT?! then its not versatile and thats a fail and more evidence its not ready for full replacement to ICE
