Absolutely! This was a typical sale price pre-covid. Lowest it has been was $400, but after COVID price was super inflated since everyone wanted a nice coffee machine at home. I haven't seen this price for at least 3 years. But now it has finally come down recently.

I see in SD that it has come down to this price in the last 1-2 months but previously $600 was the normal discount.
Very nice. How often does the Bambino Plus or Barista Pro go on sale?

The newer ones (pro and touch) warm up almost instantly. I have the pro at home and the touch at work and I absolutely love both.
Thank you for your post! Between the Pro and Touch, does one make the drink any faster?

Great machine for milk drinks. If you want to make decent espresso though don't expect it from this machine...
I finally upgraded to a dual broiler and it's night and day difference.
That's right. Thank you for mentioning a dual boiler. Now, I know I will look at dual boilers. Which one did you end up with?

I bought one from Macys last week for $524. R***10 had 12% cash back for macy's plus my CC was offering 5% CB for online purchases made it even more slicker!!
Same. Unfortunately, grinder was DOA so I had to return it. I blame ground shipping tbh. Machine seemed fine but the package was in rough shape, looked like it has been through some shit.
The replacement I ordered from Amazon seems to be working fine so far. It was delivered next day and in much better condition.

dont expect to get perfect espresso by this machine as what you could get at pro shop. I used this before getting rocket r58. Just regret I didn't upgrade earlier.

Help me decide lol
I also was torn between this and the Philips. In the end, the Philips won out due to the fact that it is automatic. I am an espresso machine newbie and just wanted to keep it as simple as possible. Received the machine a couple of days ago and I'm enjoying it so far. I'm sure whichever you choose you won't go wrong.

Someone wants perfection and wants to compare this to a machine more than 5x the price? How brilliant! 😆

Eh, how's second boiler helping with getting better espresso? Unless you're making a milk drink, and need steam, I don't see a benefit of having HX or dual-boiler machine.

Bought for $450 5years ago from Amazon and this year there was a pressure problem with the machine. Lucky bought 5 yr insurance as well for $50. Reached out to the insurance and they told me that i dont need to return and sent me a $450 check. I just replace a gasket ($9) and it's working great again.
So get an insurance!

Which insurance did you get? The one that Amazon sells at checkout?

Can't seem to decide between this and the Philips 4300
This depends on how much influence you want to have on your coffee.

Do you want to have the ability to experiment, make mistakes and learn? You'll experience a full range of emotions with espresso, extreme frustration to extreme satisfaction.

The Barista Express is a great machine, mine is almost 4 years old and gets used daily. The biggest upgrade to the machine is a *good* grinder, they are not cheap. At the very least, make sure you have a scale to dial in your grind time.

P.S Skip the pressurized baskets, use the conventional ones.

Me as well!! I have had my eye on both for years!
I have the 4300 with the froth option. So far I like shots I pull from barista express better but 4300 is easier for everyone else to use it. So depending on who will use it….
