I almost grabbed one of the S7's from Amazon/Home Depot, but then decided to take a look at eBay. They have some with the dock (not a dealbreaker, but why not) that are manufacturer refurbished with the 2 year All State Warranty. The luck I've had with the All State warranty and the fact that I would've bought an extended warranty anyway...basically got the dock for free.

I own two iRobot Roomba i7+'s with their self-emptying base, as well as a Bravaa M6. I've owned them for ~3yrs now (2019 and 2020 purchases). I picked up the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra last Black Friday (2022). There are a few generations of advancements between the two models, but lordie, the Roborock runs circles around my Roombas. My Roombas are constantly having issues - can't figure out how to get back to the base, getting stuck, getting "lost" two feet away from the base, getting stuck in open floors, etc, etc. I have replaced the battery on my Roombas multiple times - first time with OEM, after that with knock-offs, once I figured out there's no real difference - and they still take ~6hrs to clean (3hrs cleaning, 3hrs charging). And they'll often never complete because they get lost/stuck until they run out of battery and die, waiting to get carried back to base. They've done this from the get-go, out of the box.
At the time when I bought them, I would have argued that they were the best option out there. I had picked up the robot from Shark and been extremely underwhelmed with its performance. However, nowadays, no thanks. Roborock is what I'll be looking at (until something even better comes along). My Roborock completes a full vac+mop cycle in less than an hour - in the same space it takes my Roomba 6+hrs. The kicker is that the Roborock is a LOT more expensive - a true comparison with iRobot would be their S9 robots, but I can't see going back to iRobot now.
I've been eyeballing the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, I'm hoping it reviews well when it releases. I'm telling myself that I do not need to upgrade to the latest and greatest, but it adds so many nice upgrades....
