I already have a 12 month membership. Going through these steps did not extend it. It just changed which card will be charged when its set to renew, for the full amount.

I tried this same type of offer last year on my Chase freedom flex cc and it charged me $5 every month and gave me $5 discount on 1 order every month. Which comes down to free if you place 1 order per month above $5.

It never canelled immediately for me depsite warning but I may have only had one month left


However this it didnt work for me so I cancelled right away and said I now have DP until my next billing date - May 11, 2023 - it also pinged my card with a pending charge of $4.99 so I will have to watch to see if it drops

I signed up with my IHG card and I got the monthly $5 credit for 2 months, and it disappeared in April. No idea whether i got the better end of the deal or the membership bugged out and removed the benefits for all signups.
