Does the north face make quality clothes ? I always see that their clothes are priced pretty high but I am not sure if they are really worth the price.

The Apex Bionic is a staple banger of a jacket at $50 - $70 and pretty much a no-brainer. As long as you're not wearing it to clean a slaughterhouse or something it'll last indefinitely. The MSRP is BS but overall they make decent stuff provided you can snag it at SD pricing.

Bear in mind its the 2, which is inferior to the original. It will fade and discolor a bit reddish over time as well.

Absolutely. My triclimate jacket from 2010 and Surge backpack from 2008 are still completely functional, almost no wear. The first thing to go on the cheap stuff are zippers but my NF stuff has held solid all these years.
