My experience with the subscription expiring is that the features like downloading stock prices or bank details is shut off, a large panel takes up screen space that reminds you the subscription is expired and encouraging you to renew it, and repeated prompts to sign into your Quicken account just to use the software. It is a deliberately annoying user experience.

Quicken Deluxe download for new users only for $59.

The impression I get is that is a separate desktop product. Just getting the 1 year sub deal won't give me the desktop product, although it might give me access to the online version for 1 year. But I'm only interested in the desktop product.

Quicken switched to subscription model about 3-4 years ago. Essentially they are selling codes. Codes for advanced functions. Final product is the same. you can download package and use code or buy CD version, install and use code to activate it. Please read it yourself https://www.quicken.com/support/q...rship-faqs

Deal still works!
Works for renewal.
Just go to HELP -> MANAGE SUBSCRIPTION -> ACTIVATE.
a bit confusing because it seems like the activate is for new subscription BUT WORKS FOR RENEWAL ENTRY OF CODE.
Newegg is best deal at $32 and is still available.
