Have this and it is terrible. The $59 portable fan circulation of air much better than this. I bought this and it was so bad exchanged thinking I got a lemon, nope 2nd also terrible.

Not sure why terrible reviews. Not many options this size that are battery powered. Maybe I got a different model or I'm okay with mine since it was a Direct Tools free shipping item. Paid $45 each for recons. Definatly would not pay more than $75. On level 3, puts out plenty of air but drains battery. Would need a 6 or 9ah in order to have it run for 2-3 hrs. We use them at soccer games with a 4ah and it just makes it if set on 3.

Got mine from Direct Tools in July 2020 and I use it every summer. Indoor on low for air circulation and medium outdoor while standing in front of the grill. Have been running it on a 4ah battery but now I have the 9ah battery and this should last for the full day. I paid $90 plus shipping and have been very happy with it. I recall $70 was the lowest I have ever seen it go down to from DT.

I have 2, solid performance for a hybrid. Have probably 3.5-4k hours on one and about half that on the other paid around $60-70 each. At $119 it's a tough sell unless you absolutely need a hybrid fan. As it's not the strongest/highest cfm nor is it the most battery efficient.

Some advice. I have this and I loved it. However it stopped working after a year. The motor burned out. I am still within my warranty period so can get it repaired free of charge, but the issue for me is that my closest ryobi repair center is 3 hours away. So I have to mail it and pay for postage myself. I already threw away the box for it long ago, so finding a decent box that isn't expensive to mail it in has been a challenge. Plus shipping is pricy.

So my recommendation is: check to see if you have a ryobi repair facility within a short drive from you in case you ever need it to be serviced. If you do not, keep the box and padding materials for it for 3 years (warranty period) just in case you have an issue that requires you to mail it for repair.

Definitely not worth it at $120.

I'm also disappointed in the airflow considering the size of this fan. Doesn't push nearly as much air as you'd expect for an "Air Cannon".

I bought one on OfferUp for $40. It's ok at that price but I wouldn't pay any more for these.

It's shifty, but you could buy a new one and return the defective one. Justify it by telling yourself you're just streamlining the warranty process.

I bought this ryobi fan at the same time I bought the below amazon basics one... the amazon fan was 3x better. I didn't return the ryobi fan and use it occasionally where I don't have an outlet but it's certainly no better than the OG 10 or 12" fan they've been making for 10 years.

TBH that thought did cross my mind but last thing I want is to be tied to fraud like that. Lots of that components are serialized now.

No way is this worth $120. It moves less air than a $20 box fan. I've seen it on sale at DTO for as low as $73. Even then I'm not sure it's worth it.
