Was doing some calculation, Kirkland at size 4 (198) is $44.99, this is on sale for $41.99 (174) ..... I still went back to grab the kirkland....

It totally depends on the baby. I'm expecting my 6th any day now, but 1-4 were so small, by 1 year, they were barely in size 4.
My fifth, I swear jumped from size 3 to 5 in absolutely no time at just 11 months.
When stocking up, I usually get minimal on the next size, and more on the size after because you don't usually get stuck with a smaller size that's not useable.
Or you can always sell the unused. There's always people needing for their babies.

Sounds you have smaller babies, I have had 3 smaller girls and we found 4 boxes of 1's, 4 boxes of 2's, and 6 boxes of 3's and up to 4 boxes of 4's (this may be too many depending when you can potty train, may potentially need some 5's around but these will go on sale again before you'd need 5's).

Good news is it's from Costco, you can return years from now if you have extras around.

About a month and a half in size 1 (300 diapers or so) for the average baby. Double that for size 2. Size 3 and 4 you'll probably use the most of, so those are good to stock up on.

Not too long. Mine is 5.5 months and in size 3. I've found that once baby is nearing the lower end of each size's weight range, it's time to switch. I think I bought 2 boxes of 1's and 2 boxes of 2's for him, but I also had a few small packs of 1's from the hospital. And these were Kirkland brand, which have more diapers per box than Huggies.

I believe:
1 box of size 1
2 boxes of size 2
2 or 3 boxes of size 3

that should take you up to a year

any particular reason why you guys preferred huggies over kirkland? especially when it comes to leaks/blowouts or hard to put on/tabs don't stick?

we're almost about to transition to size 3 so will pick up a box or two of whatever one is better, even if huggies on sale is more expensive than kirkland regular price.
