RFB isnt there?
Eufy has been known to be the most stable platform with the best picture quality and features when compared to competitors. The eufy platform was better than Ring, Wyze or Samsung cameras I owned. They just are much faster to access the feeds and video is clearer. Again there are many videos reviewing this camera on YouTube as well.
That is ignoring the ethics and concerns about eufy/Anker who got caught lying about encryption on their cameras. Worst part was the company never responded properly to the claims
The tapo seems like a decent contender but if we are just comparing from a performance to price ratio the eufy is better albeit the refurbished tag

I'd stay away until you get a statement, and independent testing.
Fool me once, shame on you Eufy, fool me twice....well that ain't gonna happen.

From how I interpret it: What really escalated this situated was the lack of Eufy's acknowledgement. I think everyone was expecting a fix and apology for this but it never occurred from Anker's behalf. They removed all claims from their products claiming they were encrypted and video feed was secured. This led to many reviewers such as The Verge and Linus Tech Tips no longer reviewing the products.
As for the dust settling I think this situation is far from over. I assume in the coming months there will be a class action lawsuit that some lawyer will bring to court against Anker. Again this is a company that is well established with major retailers here in the US (Walmart, Costco, bestbuy, Amazon all stock their products) so it's not some random typical Chinese brand that can run off back to a shell company
Wyze did something very similar with their product lineup where they hid a security flaw for three years. Yet I would say they are "slightly" better in that they at least updated their product line up and supposedly fixed the glitch
I think that regardless of company (Tapo, Eufy, Wyze) all these cheap cameras are the same. I wouldn't use them for sensitive applications but for checking my front porch or security outside my home they aren't a big issue for me. Again I've tried Ring, Wyze (current), and Eufy. Eufy is by far the best system I have used. I mean even Ring which is based in the US has a back door where the police can tap it at anytime without any consent from you on the app.
Not even.
The single had a $7 coupon and the couple was $15. So $77 for the three of them that I needed.
I use eufy space view for non wifi baby monitors. Using one rn actually! Highly recommended.
It has never, ever dropped connection in my house.
Vtech was the absolute worst. Vava was good, but fragile.
I'm two floors away and across the house (4000sqft) and I'm at 4 bars!
But for wifi, I'll stay away from anker
Do what ever makes you comfortable...some people don't care about privacy, or that they were lied to...me I got standards, and I take responsibility of where I want my privacy. What I do expect is a company I bought into, not to lie to me about how secure something is to increase sales.
Once bitten, twice shy.
I notice my eufy doorbell is missing videos lately. Is that why?
