Bought q5 and s7 refurbs in previous deal. S7 had zero history of usage. q5 had 10 hours on it. Definitely recommend refurbs by roborock

Nice was hoping this would come back. We were disappointed with our S7 MaxV Plus and the camera recognition versus our S4. Wondering if the S7+ would be a good option to still have the dock and mopping, but cost a lost less.

Also, very interested in the S8 line and the dual rollers. Roomba J7+ does very well on carpet so wondering about S8. Though, I'm not seeing a bagless option, which I was hoping for.

Bought the S4 refurb several years ago, and had no problems there, though had to delete an old map. Hardware looked very clean at least, and it's held up no problems.

Just a head's up, swapping out the Q5 brush (roborock Main Brush Q5&Q5+ Robot Vacuum is searchable) gives you a roller with bristles that does much better on carpet. It fits the 7 series. I swapped for the all rubber roller in my Ultra and it's MUCH better.​

Also, the drying unit can be found for ~$50 on Ali xpress, and mine was actually a Chinese plug actual OEM model from Roborock - guess they're having trouble selling those over there...

When you say drying unit, are you talking about the dock station with all the bells and whistles?

No the drying unit does not come standard with the ultra - it dries off the mop after cleaning - it's a secondary accesory that they charge $150+ for, but can be found for ~$50 on Ali... and it turns out it's an OEM device... figures. The dryer is actually a worthwhile addition if you're getting the ultra... the one shortfall is the mop normally air dries and can get a mildew smell after a while. Also a bit of floor cleaner in the water resevior goes a long way... I use Murphy Oil Soap Wood Cleaner

Hmm I usually do a mix of seventh generation disinfectant and window, couple sprays each.... Well have to try the Murphy oil though I guess I'm slightly concerned that its thickness well fun to the works? How much do you put in, and use room temp water? Thanks

As an aside yes Ali is def the place to get oem robo vac parts for super cheap

Seems like a first attempt at inventory clean up for the upcoming S8, maybe? Still can't fathom these prices though for a refurb. They need to come down in price by a few more hundred hopefully.
