Was 189.99 in local warehouse b&m. $199.99 online with free s/h for members. The 2.5 ah battery is supposedly a lot better when it comes to battery longevity and charging errors.

$40 off listed price

Does anyone have experience with this unit and the Ego POWER+ 765CFM Blower? How long does the Greenworks 2.5aH battery last on this blower? The Ego unit is $100 more at the moment but comes with a 5aH battery so that may be worth the extra for me. I am not in a rush so I have time to look around.

Other posts (current / historical) seemed to have positive comments about the ego blowers.

One thing worth mentioning is Ah is only charge, not power, so if the ego unit in question is 56V*5Ah that's 255Wh of energy whereas
to make the same energy storage in a vendor's 80V battery system would only need around 56/80th of the Ah for the same energy from a higher voltage pack for example since the higher voltage lower Ah balances out somewhat so a 5Ah @ 56V ~= 3.5Ah @ 80V from a battery energy perspective.

But being a blower it's going to use a lot of power if it is a fairly powerful air-stream blower so I'd certainly go for a relatively higher energy capacity pack for it in consideration of your operating time / intensity needs per charge, quality, warranty, performance, etc.

So far my impression is a lot of tool manufacturers seem to make "low ball" bundle packages with a tool and a battery that is sized so it might be suitable for light use but really a lot of people would probably want a bigger capacity battery for that tool for medium / larger jobs. So then one would have to upgrade the battery maybe. Also if one gets multiple tools within a given battery system it could be better getting a bigger battery to start to match well with whatever the higher power demanding tool is one is likely to get e.g. blower, mower, whatever, so one would have ok capacity for that and good capacity for less demanding tools.

For EGO 56V starting at 5Ah or maybe 4Ah is probably good for many tools (I'd consider blowers / mowers more critically toward the higher side though)
but 2.5Ah is more questionable.

Similar for greenworks 2-2.5Ah might be "ok" but I'd probably look for a good price on a bigger one if investing into that ecosystem of tools or maybe a second 2.5 if the weight / capability is good but you might want more run time on one or more tools in a given work session without waiting to recharge.

Few people seem to say anything good about ego customer service, long wait times, inconvenient, etc. IDK about GW.

I have the kobalt 80V version which is one later than this with the 2.5 amp battery. The thing is a beast in all good ways. The main upgrade they did on this one is the side suction to stop sucking in your shirt and the nose cone to get the air velocity up a little. I can go about 30 min on the 2.5 amp and it almost has too much power on turbo mode. I think the green works warrantee through Costco is great too

56v * 5 Ah = 280
80v * 2.5 Ah = 200

EGO has 40% higher battery capacity.

This is the average sale price. The low was $269.10 back in March 2022.

Love my greenworks tools. Asshole broke into my garage and stole the blower and chainsaw, now I've got one of the two back. Mower and pole saw are great too, the 80v line is solid.

Has anyone got this blower from Costco recently? How may batteries come with the blower? Some YT videos show the blower coming with two batteries, but it is nowhere mentioning the extra battery on Costco product page.

Btw, today is the last day for the sale price.

This guy does a great review on many leaf blowers with a technical analysis and data. Worth watching imo.
