Matched the January price. Good to have in the tool box at a great price.

Great for lug nuts, accurate enough but too unreliable for more important things.

They just too often fail to click or click noticeably at the set value.

How does one decide which one is 'better' for them? Based on what kind of sockets they already have?

The decision should be based on the torque value(s) that you might be needing for the jobs that you intend to use it for.

That makes sense, thank you. My use case is tightening the lug nuts on my car, spec is 80-108 lb ft. I already have 1/2 inch sockets for my impact wrench, so 1/2 inch one should work. It also seems to be getting better reviews than the 3/8 one.

I couldn't agree more.

The first time I used one, I got ft/lbs and in/lbs confused because each side of the wrench has the numbers. The bolt holding the thermostat snapped like a pretzel stick.

I got the Pittsburgh digital torque that goes on my own wrench. Love it especially because it takes AAA batteries instead of a coin battery.

These wrenches perform just as well if not better than most other average prices torque wrenches as tested on many different youtube videos. The 1/2 drive wrench I have is also the most audible wrench at low torques I've ever used. The concern over accuracy is not warranted when most don't calibrate their torque wrenches anyways.

If you need anything more precise than these harbor freight torque wrenches, you would already have it. Harbor freight hand tools are perfectly reliable for the everyday person.

It's not the accuracy that's the problem, it's the failure to reliably click at that setting.

Most YouTubes just check the setting a few times to see if it's in range, they don't do a dozen head bolts and find that 10% of them are out of range or broken because the wrench failed to noticeably click where it should have.
