I agree that having the different options are more pleasant as you can pick what fits best. Some people feel uncomfortable with having things shoved into your ear but in generally you get the better fit. I did see the 3's had a silicone tip on amazon (off label) to make it more like the pro tip, no idea if its any good/fits in the case.

I just did a price match with Best Buy and used an Amex to get the extra $15 back. The chat took longer than expected! I started on the price match page, but that chat rep had to transfer me to sales. Then the link to pay came by email.

I think he is only judging the folks who ordered a gen 2; then returned their gen 1s in the return label for the gen 2 product. This is only possible because the two look so similar - apple could have easily stamped a "gen 2" marker or logo to prevent this, but they don't ever do that.

You do not fall into that category ... so no assumptions here.

personally i don't care about the next person when it comes to deals.

none of these big companies give a damn about ethics. why should i? as long as it's not illegal, i see no harm. if i had gen 1s from costco, i would return those, and then buy the 2nd gen.

This won't even work. The 1st gen AirPods serial number won't match the gen2 box. Costco is not stupid.

Everytime I see this posted, I wonder what about them makes them better than cheap(er) true wireless earbuds.

I'm all-apple: I have a macbook air, an iPad Pro, iPhone SE, and Watch SE (bought at various times and all on sale), but I have Galaxy Buds Live because of that amazing slick deal from over a year ago that got them for around $20.

Do the Airbuds Pro 2 offer that much of a benefit over non-Apple-branded buds?

Lol. I'm on the edge here for same reason. I got a buds live which I got real cheap and works well with iPhone.

Getting slowly sucked into Apple ecosystem. Already bought a watch ultra and macbook M2 air early this year.

The Amex offer for Bestbuy is making me itchy to get this. Someone help pls ;(

The Amex offer did not trigger for me. When I chatted, the first person said the transaction was marked as instore which was ineligible. I confirmed that I ordered online, but pointed out that the offer is valid for instore as well. Then, they transferred me to another agent who said I ordered over the phone which makes it ineligible. Again, I confirmed that I ordered completely online, so they opened up an inquiry. Not feeling good about getting the extra $15.

Not sure why, but I cannot complete the order, and the item gets erased from my cart. I tried different cards but nothing is working. Anyone else having this issue?
